Imogen Collyer Osteopath brings 10 years of experience as an Osteopath, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of her patients by helping them understand their bodies and find ease in movement and breathing. She has a particular interest and advanced training in
- SIJ dysfunction, pelvic girdle pain related to pregnancy
- Dysfunctional breathing patterns (especially related to long COVID)
- TMJ/jaw pain
- Tissue restriction and side effects caused by breast cancer treatment
- Managing the aches and pains associated with complex medical conditions.
After taking six months off to rest and recover from long COVID, Imogen has returned to practice, bringing a renewed focus on supporting patients with breathing dysfunction and holistic recovery. Over the past decade, she has worked in Cairns, Bali, and Canberra, and recently relocated back to Melbourne to be closer to her family.
Imogen’s approach to treatment is holistic, integrating hands-on osteopathic techniques such as Muscle Energy Technique (MET), dry needling, fascial release, and counterstrain, alongside breathing practices and rehabilitation exercises. Her comprehensive treatment plans often incorporate yoga, Pilates, and innovative movement-based exercises tailored to support rehabilitation, optimize functional breathing patterns and mechanics, and enhance overall health and well-being. She also emphasizes lifestyle modifications and stress management to help her patients achieve sustainable, long-term health outcomes.
A key element of Imogen’s practice is educating her patients on how to attune to their bodies’ signals and respond effectively—whether through stabilization, stretching, strengthening, or rest. Her goal is to empower individuals to enhance their daily activities, work environments, and fitness routines, while emphasizing that rest is just as important as exercise for overall well-being.
In addition to her osteopathic practice, Imogen is a certified yoga teacher and a committed advocate of physical activity. She maintains a diverse exercise routine that includes Pilates, yoga, walking, swimming, surfing, and movement classes, while also working on improving her handstand skills.
Imogen is fully registered with AHPRA. Also, she is a member of Osteopathy Australia.
