Dr. Alison Sim
Alison qualified as an osteopath in 2001. She has a Masters of Pain Management from Sydney University Medical School and Royal North Shore Pain Management Research Institute. She treats patients form all walks of life but takes a special interest in persistent pain. The approach that she uses is what might be described as a “ bigger picture approach” where there is an emphasis on addressing all aspects of a person’s life that might be impacting on the pain.
Alison also has a strong interest in women’s and men’s pelvic health having completed further training in pelvic health physiotherapy in the USA. Conditions that can be helped include incontinence, pelvic pain, symptoms associated with endometriosis and vulvodynia. She also treats persistent pain problems like neck pain and back pain by taking an evidence based, bigger picture approach which is tailored to your individual situation.
She has lectured at Australian Catholic University, Victoria University, RMIT and George Fox University in a variety of science and clinical subjects. She has also worked as part of the teaching team at Deakin University Medical School.
